Please verify the Authenticity of the following Hadith:
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“A woman who is killed by the child in her womb attains martyrdom, and her child will drag her by his umbilical cord to Paradise.”
Answer:
Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Rashid ibn Hubaysh and Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah ibn Samit (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) as part of a longer narration.
(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3 pg. 489 and vol. 5 pg. 329)
‘Allamah Mundhiri (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan) and ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared the narrators credible (thiqat).
