Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) exclusive time with Allah

What is reference of following narration?

لي مع الله وقت لا يسع فيه ملك مقرب ولا نبي مرسل

Answer:

I have not come across this narration. A similar narration is cited in Ar Risalatul Qushayriyyah, without a chain. ‘Allamah Sakhawi (rahimahullah) states, ‘The People of Tasawwuf repeatedly say this.’

(Ar Risalatul Qushayriyyah, pg. 276, Darul Minhaj edition, Al Maqasidul Hasanah, Hadith: 926)

The following narration recorded in Shamail Tirmidhi should be quoted instead:

Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said, “When Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would enter home, he would divide his time into three portions; One portion dedicated for [the ‘ibadah of] Allah, one for his family and one for himself.”

(Shamail Tirmidhi, Hadith: 336, Al Maqasidul Hasanah, Hadith: 926 and Al Asrarul Marfu’ah, Hadith: 392)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
