Is certainty complete Iman?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

‘Certainty is the whole of Faith.’

Is this Hadith authentic?

Answer

This is part of a longer narration that is authentically recorded by Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) as the statement of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu’anhu).

(Al-Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 8544. Also see Fathul Bari, first chapter of Kitabul Iman and Majma’uz zawaid, vol.1 pg.57)
