Is this Hadith authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would not leave his home for Salah until he made miswak”
Answer:
Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Zayd ibn Khalid Al Juhani (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
(Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 5261)
‘Allamah Mundhiri (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (bi isnadin la ba’sa bihi) and ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) states ‘The narrators have been declared credible’
(Targhib, vol. 1 pg. 166, Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 2 pg. 99)
