Death with wudu is martyrdom

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

I wanted to know what the grade of this Hadith is Sahih, Hasan or Da’if and whether it’s allowed to practice upon:

One should try to be in the state of wudu all the time. He who passes away in the state of wudu dies as a Shahid (martyr) (Majmauz zawaid, vol.1 pg. 271 and Fathul Malikil ‘Aliy, pg.35)

Answer

This is part of a lengthy Hadith which is reported with several weak chains, that adequately support each other.

This Hadith is acceptable and can be quoted.
