Taking an oath using Allah’s name only

What is the authenticity of this Hadith?

“Whoever has to take an oath should swear by Allah or remain silent”

Answer:

Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma). The Hadith is therefore authentic.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2679, Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1646)
