Is this narration reliable?
إن الحميم ليصب على رءوسهم فينفذ الحميم حتى يخلص إلى جوفه فيسلت ما في جوفه حتى يمرق من قدميه وهو الصهر ثم يعاد كما كان
Answer:
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahihun gharib).
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2582)
A similar punishment is mentioned in the Quran, in Surah Hajj (Verse: 20) and Surah An Nisa (Verse: 56)
Translation
Certainly boiling water will be poured over their heads [the inhabitants of Jahannam]. It will penetrate his belly and melt away his organs which will then pour over his feet. Then he will be returned to how he was [healthy again and this process will be repeated].
