Good deeds on behalf of one’s parents

What is authenticity of the following Hadith?

Narrated by Hajjaj ibn Dinar that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:

Good deed after good deed is that along with your prayers you also pray on behalf of your parents, and when fasting you also fast on behalf of them and while you do charity for yourself do it on their behalf as well.

Answer

This Hadith has been recorded by Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) and others like you have cited it, with a weak chain.

Note: The narrator: Hajjaj ibn Dinar (rahimahullah) is not a Sahabi, he is actually a Senior Tabi’ Tabi’i.
