Eating from the sides of the plate and not the middle

Is the following Hadith authentic?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The blessing is removed from the middle of the food so eat from its edges and don’t eat from the middle.” (Tirmidhi)

Answer

The actual wording of the Hadith is as follows:

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Barakah/blessing descends on the middle of the food, so eat from the edges/sides and not the middle.”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1805)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has graded the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahih).

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
