The worst fitnah according to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (radiyallahu ‘anhu)

Is this report authentic?

Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was asked, ‘What is the biggest fitnah?’ He replied, That good and evil is presented to you and you do not know which of them to follow [due to you being unable to distinguish].”

Answer

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration with a weak chain. However, the narration is corroborated as pointed out by Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (hafizahullah).
