Could you source this Hadith?
إن العبد لينشر له من الثناء ما بين المشرق والمغرب وما يزن عند الله جناح بعوضة
Answer:
‘Allamah Subki and ‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahumallah) have not come across these words as a Hadith.
(Tabaqatush Shafi’iyyah, vol. 6 pg. 289, Al Mughni ‘An Hamlil Asfar, Hadith: 147, Al Masnu’, Hadith: 58)
Translation
Certainly there are some whose praises are sung in the east and west [throughout the world] whereas in the sight of Allah Ta’ala he is not even equal to a wing of a mosquito.
The following Hadith recorded in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim should be quoted instead:
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “On the Day of Qiyamah, a huge fat man will come who will not weigh as much as a mosquito’s wing in the sight of Allah.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 4729, Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2785)
