I wanted to ask regarding your answer in this link:https://www.hadithanswers.com/reference-for-the-hadith-of-spending-1-huqb-in-jahannam/
Shaykh Zakariya (rahimahullah) said that this narration has been mentioned in the book Majālis al-Abrār.
I have been unable to find this narration amongst the collections of ahādīth that are available to me.
However, the Shaykh of our Mashāikh, Shāh `Abd al-`Azīz Dahlawī (rahimahullāh), has praised this book. my question is is such an approach acceptable from scholars of Islam?
Especially in a book which is written for laymen?
Is this narration authentic? or are salafis correct for saying this is a fabricated narration?
Answer
Each Scholar has his own approach which we should respect, despite our differences.
Before declaring a Hadith as a fabrication (or even as authentic for that matter) one needs proof. As mentioned in the link in your question, I haven’t located the chain, and therefore cannot comment on its authenticity.
Lastly, those who are labelling it as a fabrication need to substantiate their claim too.
To avoid confusion, one should abstain from salafi circles/forums/sites etc.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
