“There is no day when Allah sets free more servants from Jahannam than the Day of ‘Arafah”

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha). The complete narration is as follows. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
There is no day in which Allah Ta’ala sets free more servants from Jahannam than the Day of ‘Arafah. Allah Ta’ala’s mercy descends, he boasts to the Angels and says, ‘What do these people want’?
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1348)
And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
