Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

Apart from adopting the permissible means in finding a suitable spouse, the supplications unto Allāh are most effective in that He will place blessings in the means adopted, and guide you to the right spouse.

Supplication 1:

Translation: ‘There is none worthy of worship except You (Allāh), Glory be to You; Indeed, I have been from amongst the transgressors. [Al-Qur’ān 21:87]

This is the supplication of Prophet Yūnus (peace be upon him) while he was trapped in the belly of the whale.

The Prophet ﷺ said regarding this supplication:

Indeed, no Muslim supplicates with these words for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him. [Al-Tirmidhī]

 Supplication 2:

Translation: “O Allāh, indeed I am in need of goodness.” [Al-Qur’ān 28:24]

This is the supplication of Prophet Mūsa (peace be upon him) when he left Miṣr and went to Madyan. Allāh then accepted his supplication and granted him the daughter of Prophet Shuʿayb (peace be upon him) in marriage.

Supplication 3:

Translation: “O Allāh! Give to us in the world that which is good, and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.” [Al-Qur’ān 2:201]

Together with all the above supplications, perform two Rakaʿahs of Ṣalāh Al-Hājah, recite abundant salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ.

May Allah Ta’ala bless you with the most compatible spouse who is a means of happiness for you in this world and the hereafter, the coolness of your eyes, who is pious, Allāh-fearing, and a caring spouse.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best
