Aoa ! My question is that I used to talk to a boy over text message . We (unintentionally in fun) asked each other whether each one of was accepted the nikah or not . This situation took place over text message and we both agreed as we both thought of it as a joke . He asked me “Do you accept me in nikah with the haq meher of your choice?” to which I said yes . I want to know was the nikah valid ? Note that there were no witnesses on my side nor I had the permission of my wali . I am having waswasas now . Also it was done unintentionally in fun and we had no serious intentions about it . Since I’m a sunni girl , kindly guide me accordingly . Also I don’t know if the boy had any witnesses or not .

In order for Nikah to be valid, the offer and acceptance need to be done infront of two male witnesses, or one male and two females.
Since this integral condition was not found, no Nikah has taken place between you two,
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best
