Text Message Nikah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I want to ask question regarding nikah. If a nikah thing is asked through text message, and there were no witnesses at the girl side. Like there were people with girl in the room but they don’t know about what matter the girl is talking on text messages. Then is it count as witness?

Also the boy says that there were no witnesses by his side. But the girl is having waswasa. How to get confirmed and get assured that there were no witnesses at the boy’s side?

The girl is no longer talks to the boy and has realized mistake commited by her. Also she wants to lead a life as far from sin as possible, But for that this nikah thing waswasa is to be removed from her mind, but how?

Also this nikah thing occured two times, i.e. the boy asked for the nikah to the girl and then after somedays (or months) he again asked. The girl accepted. Does this no. of times matter?

The girl hasnt told her parents because she don’t want to lose their trust and don’t want to break their heart.
