Q. I already understand that ALL music is Haraam and only singing is permissible if it has good Islamic meaning. However, I heard an Islamic song, with no instruments and good meaning that contained rapping. Is rap, in this case, permissible or is it wrong and an imitation of the unbelievers.
A. Rapping is nothing more than an imitation of the unbelievers and is totally prohibited in Islam. It is sad to know that some ignorant ones have taken Quranic verses to make rap song. Muslims must refrain from this.
