Question:
assalamoalaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakaatuhu..hadhrat
someone told me that the qurbani sheep we have to rear, bath, give food and care for it, develop attachment with it and then sacrifice it….my question is
is it farz, sunnah, wajib or simply preferably to do so?
if someone simply buys it few days before Eid and sacrifice it, will it be accepted in shariah?

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
To do these things are simply preferable and not essential. Hence, if a person buys an animal a few days before the Eid and then sacrificed it for Qurbani, it will be valid and acceptable in the
Shariah
