Question: Is it permissible to use a sheep that is less than a year old for qurbani?
The animal is more that 60 lbs live weight.
Answer: Assalamu Alaikum,
If the sheep is fat and healthy and appears to be a one year old, then it can be used for Qurbani even though it is less than a year old. If it does not appear like a one year old, then you must wait until it has completed one year to use it for Qurbani.
