How many times a blood stained garment needs to be washed?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

How many times a blood stained garment needs to be washed

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

An object rendered impure by a solid impurity shall be washed until the body of the solid impurity has been removed.  If after thorough ordinary washing (i.e. without soap, liquid etc) some impression like the colour or odour of the impurity still remains, then too the object will be regarded as purified.

An object rendered impure by an impure liquid, shall be washed and squeezed until one feels satisfied that the impurity has been eliminated.   (Maraqi Falah p.64)

Regarding your question, if you washed the blood stained area once with soap or without soap then if the body of the impurity is removed it will be considered pure. It is not necessary for you to squeeze it three times. (Hidayah p.78 v.1)
