Is Zakah wajib on raw gold?

assalam alaikum, my question is : Is “Zakah” wajib on raw gold (not a piece of Jewellery- but a block of gold cut from a 24 carat gold brick)?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1949/1542/D=1430)

It will also be liable for Zakah.
