If a woman becomes wet due to arousal and then climaxes will ghusl be obligatory

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

If a woman becomes wet due to arousal and then climaxes will ghusl be obligatory on her even if she is not sure if she has discharged any fluid during climax since her private part is already wet due to arousal?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

The wetness a woman experiences at the time of arousal would be considered as Madhi. If a woman climaxes and Mani comes out then ghusl will be obligatory.

Besides urine three liquids can also come out of one’s private parts.

1. Madhi (pre-coital fluid), is a thin clear liquid which is discharged at the time of arousal without ejaculation. This necessitates wudu on emission.

2. Mani (Sperm) is a white thick fluid which is discharged at the time of ejaculation. This necessitates a ghusl on emission.

3. Wadi is a white cloudy thick fluid which has no smell and is discharged either before or after urinating. This necessitates wudu on emission. (Hashiat Tahtawi p.100)

Madhi is impure, therefore, one will be required to wash that area where the madhi is with water to make it pure. (Dars Tirmizi p.346 v.1)
