Question:
Can the hair that is on the right and left sides of the soul patch be removed/trimmed?

Answer:
It is known as “Sibalatain” (hair on both sides of the moustache) in Arabic, it is part of the moustache and not part of the beard, therefore removing and trimming will be allowed and permissible. [1]
