When is backbiting allowed?

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Answer

There are some circumstances where a person may talk about his brothers and sisters:

  1. If the person is being oppressed
  2. Requesting a fatwa
  3. When seeking marriage or being a witness
  4. Warning people of anothers’ evil deeds or evil intentions
