Mixture of silk and cotton

Answer
To wear pure silk is unlawful for men. (Raddul Muhtar p.506 v.9)
The Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said “Wearing of silk and gold has been made unlawful for males and lawful for the females of my Ummah.” (Sunan Tirmizi p.302 v.1)
Silk produced by a silkworm is unlawful. However, synthetic silk or manufactured silk is lawful. Similarly, if the silk content of a garment is less than 50% in comparison to the other materials, then it will be permissible to wear the garment without any detestability in the Hanafi Fiqh. (Raddul Muhtar p.513 v.9)
