Can a Woman Wear a Moon Cup or a Small Menstruation Cup

Question:

Can a woman wear a moon cup or a small menstruation cup? Especially since she gets a rash with normal pads. This is a kit like a tampon, this sits just in the opening and it collects the blood.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In the case of developing a rash with normal pads, it would be ideal for the woman to explore other sanitary pads that may be suitable for sensitive skin. If one cannot find anything, then the use of the moon cup would be allowed out of need. However, under normal circumstances, it would be disliked [makrooh] to insert something into the vagina to collect the menstrual blood.

Only Allah knows best
