Question

I am 31 yet not able to get married.

Many good proposals do come, they like and proceed, and later it’s all called off for no reason. It is happening for 5years. I am performing now ruqia treatment too, even 2 weeks ago almost things got almost finalized, and later it was canceled.

Please suggest to me what to do.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

One of the most effective ways to attain what you desire is by asking Allah frequently and sincerely for it. Allah says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”[1]

And remember to never lose hope when you do not get what you want within the time you wanted it. Allah also says, “I respond to the call of the one calling when he calls upon Me. So, let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.”[2]

Additionally, one must put their efforts into the objective. You must inform those who may be of help in this regard, ask family and relatives to keep a watchful eye out for any potential brides which they reckon will match with your character and personality, etc. And perform the Salat of Istikharah with full trust and faith in Allah and then proceeding with the heart’s inclination.

Only Allah knows best
