Can Tayammum Be Done on a Clay Pot That Has Been Glazed

Question

Can tayammum be done on a clay pot that has been glazed?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Tayammum cannot be done on a clay pot that is glazed i.e covered by a thin coating of glass. The principle is that anything from the genus of the earth is allowed, not things that when burnt will turn to ashes, like grass, or melt with the heat, like glass.

Only Allah knows best
