Question

Assalamu Alaikum. I used to pray witr salah as I knew it and after reciting the dua e Qunoot I did not say Takbeer (ALLAHU Akbar) before going into ruku. Now I am worried, I have been doing this for years, I thought one takbeer before the dua Qunoot was to be recited and after the Dua going straight into ruku. Are all my witr salat invalid?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer

Your witr Salah will be valid. To read the Takbeer before going into ruku is considered to be Sunnat. (Durre Mandhuud p.293 v.2).
