Assalamu ’Alaikum.

If a masjid is offering two Jumuahs, should the second Jumuah also have two adhan?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salaam, the first adhan was not present in the time of the Prophet (saw).[1]

When Uthman (rd) became the Khalifah, he legislated the first adhan because of the increased population of the Muslims. He ordered for the adhan to be made in the marketplace of Medina so that the people were informed regarding the commencement of the Jummah salaah.[2]

The second Jummah will also have two adhan because there is a need of informing the people of the commencement of the Jumuah salaah.
