In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Qurbānī is an obligation upon those who are obliged to either pay ṣadaqah al-fiṭr.[1] Ṣadaqah al-fiṭr is required from a person who possesses the niṣāb of zakāt (612.36 grams of silver) either in silver, or its value in cash or extra goods which a person does not use (such as furniture, items of trade, clothing etc.) [2] A person having debt will have to minus the amount of money owed from the total value of the assets calculated. If the final amount is equal to or above the niṣāb, the person will be liable to do qurbānī, if not he will not be obligated.[3]
