Question

Is it permissible to use products made from placenta?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is not permissible to use products made from human placenta due to the fact that Allah the Most High has made humans noble and honourable. Using any part of a human, such as a placenta or hair, is disgraceful. As for using animal placenta, that will be in two scenarios. Either the animal’s placenta being used is from a live animal or the animal is dead. If the animal is alive, then it is impermissible to use the placenta as it is considered maita. In the rare case the animal has been slaughtered through Islamic means, then the placenta will also be permissible to use.[1]
