Doubts in seeing Madhi after urinating

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

After I urinated and cleaned, I was going to the shower and noticed that there was a sticky liquid which looks like mazi, I am doubting whether any drops have fallen on the floor, hairs on the floor and before I could wash, the impurities transfers on to shoes and other places in the house.

I feel like I have become OCD about things in my house and life and feeling guilty towards purity as I have heard that purity is half of Imaan.

Can you please advise ?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

OCD nowadays has become a common problem. The best advice I can give you is that if you feel that some drops of mazi had fallen on the floor then only use those sandals for the bathroom only in the future so when you come out the bathroom you either take your sandals off and walk back to your living room or front room or then you already have a spare pair outside the bathroom to walk around the house in as this will remove any further doubts in the future.

Regarding other doubts you have about purity then its best that you speak to someone at home who can physically watch you for example if you had doubts whilst performing wudhu then the person who is watching you if he or she says that you have performed it correctly then you should believe and not have any further doubts regarding the wudhu.

Only Allah Knows best
