Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

My father had passed away four months ago. I am unmarried and my younger brother isn’t considered adult yet by age. After my father’s death, my paternal relatives have thrown us away empty-handed. I know Allah is the best of planners, and always to seek Justice from him only.

Now, which duaa should I recite or when should I do it so that I can win my Almighty’s help?

   بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of ALLAH the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Answer:

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

Remember this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) at your times of difficulty:

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: I was riding behind the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) one day and he said: “O boy, I shall teach you some words. Be mindful Allaah and He will take care of you. Be mindful of Allaah and He will protect you. If you ask then ask of Allaah, and if you seek help then seek help from Allaah. Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you in some way, they would not benefit you except in something that Allaah has decreed for you, and if they were to gather together to harm you in some way, they would not harm you except in something that Allaah has decreed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”[1]

You can recite the following:

Allaahumma La Sahla Illa Maa Ja’altahu Sahlaa, Wa Anta Taj’alul Hazna Idhaa Shi’ta Shalaa [2]

Meaning: “O Allah! There is nothing easy except that which You make easy; and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy.”
