Do women with makeup on have to wet their faces before the Islamic prayer

Answer:

بسماللهالرحمنالرحيم

In The Name Of Allah, The Most-Merciful, The Most Kind

Islam has put great emphasis on attaining purity and cleanliness. Ablution or Wudu is a requirement for any Salah to be valid. If the water does not reach the compulsory body parts for wudu then one’s wudu and prayer/salah will not be valid.

The compulsory actions of wudu are:

·         Washing the face

·         Washing the arms up to the elbows

·         Wiping the head

·         Washing the feet up to the ankles (Qudoori – Vol 1, Page 11)

Only Allah knows best
