Question:

Assalam Alikum,

I would like to know how to distribute property after fathers death. kindly consider the below mentioned senario:

Father: Deceased

Mom: Deceased

Grand Father: Deceased

Grand Mother: Alive

Sons: 5

Sister: 1

Property Value ( Approx): 1 crore

Jazak Allah,

Talal

Answer:

Bismillah

The father’s estate will be distributed according to the following percentages:

Grandmother: 16.66% (Approximately 1,666,000 Rupees)

5 Sons: 83.34% (16.66% each in other words approximately 1,666,000 Rupees each)

Sister: Nil

As the father’s wife (Mom from above) and Grandfather are deceased a share in their name will not be taken out.

Only Allah knows best
