Is a Muqtadi required to perform Sajdah Sahwe if he made a mistake behind the Imam

Question:

If we are reading namaz behind the Imam and make a mistake i.e we miss a wajib out, do we have to perform sajda sahw or not?  If not, is there a specific reason

Answer:

Bismillah

If the followers make a mistake, they would not perform Sajdah Sahwe by themselves. By performing it themselves they will be at difference with the Imam. (Nurul Idah p.218)
