1) If any Pesh (Chief) Imam is not Haffez ( Hibbs) in Quaran, then can he contineu the Khatam- Tarabi Namaz in Ramzan by him ?? 2) If we chose an any other Haffez (Hibbs) will do the same only for the month of Ramzan instead of that Pesh Imam is that Jayez in Islam Rule ?? 3) Can we pay more salary to the Chosen Haffez for the month of Ramzan than the Pesh Imam ?? If we do so then is it Jayez or not?? 4) If we pay equal salary both of them ( Hafeez & Pesh Imam) then is it Jayez or not?? Answer:
(Fatwa: 977/739/H=1431)
(1) Imam sahib too can lead taraveeh salah though he is not the hafiz of complete Quran.
(2) There is no harm if the authority of the mosque, Imam and muqtadi together do so with mutual consent
(3) The hafiz who is appointed only for leading the taraveeh salah it is neither lawful to give him salary nor for him to receive the same, whether less or more or equal.
(4) It is similar to the answer number 3. Actually, taking money for taraveeh is not lawful, it is haram. If no hafiz is available without remuneration, the regular imam should lead the taraveeh salah from alam
