Asslmualaikum. I am aware that it is necessary to perform one’s salaat in the musjid.however my question is that if a person does not possess personal transport to frequent the musjid/musallah but is aware of a neighbour who attends the musjid,does it become necessary/wajib on him to request his neighbour for a lift? If yes then my second question is that what if the neighbour delays in returning eg. he sits for programmes in the musjid,will it still remain compulsory to attend the musjid with him? jazakallah
Answer:
(Fatwa: 1078/1078=M/1429)
It is not necessary to request a neighbour. Neither it is necessary to go to mosque with him. Every one is asked to go to mosque according to his own strength and capacity.
