Please could you let me know what is spirit vinegar and if it is halal or not as it is used in some everyday food such as ketchup in the UK, i have searched the internet but have not been able to find a clear answer. jazakallah.

We do not know the ingredients of sprit vinegar. If it does not contain haram and impure things, it will be lawful to use it.
