Is it permissible to marry one’s aunt (chachi)?

Yes, you can marry your aunt after the death of uncle or after divorce provided she passes Iddah (prescribed period), as the Quran says: وأحل لکم ما وراء ذلکم (سورۃ النساء: 24)
