Q1) Sajda Sahu enough for missed wajibs? Q2) Feeding needy replace kuffara for nullifying fast?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Dear Mufti Sb, Q1)While offering prayers, if more than one wajib is missed, for e.g, if one forgets to read a surah after surah fatiha and following doesnt performs jalsa, will sajda sahu suffice as a compensation? Q2) Just for a lame excuse, if one cannot offer kuffara for observing 60 days fast, and instead opts for feeding the needy for 60 days, will the kuffarah be accepted in lieu for nullifying ramadan fast?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1046/1046=M/1430)

It is sunnah to sit awhile between two sajdah, it will not render sajdah sahv wajib if missed. Sajdah sahv becomes necessary by leaving any wajib act. If more than one wajib are missed in salah, one sajdah sahv is sufficient.

(2) No, it is not allowed. If someone has to keep 60 fast of kaffarah and he has no excuse but is able to do so, he has to keep the fasts. But, if he is unable to keep the fasts, he can feed 60 poor persons:

وکفر ککفارۃ المظاھر ? أي مثلھا في الترتیب فیعتق أولاً، فإن لم یجد صام شھرین متتابعین، فإن لم یستطع أطعم ستین مسکیناً الخ (الشامي)
