Is there anything in the Quran about the procedure of Majlis (Shia Fiqr)?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalam-o-Alaikum! I’m from Sunni Fiqr. I wanted to ask if there is anything written in Quran about the procedure of Majlis (Shia Fiqr).Because I heard from someone that some part of the procedure is mentioned there like beating their chest with their hand whenever they hear certain ayah and same goes crying .. which somehow makes it legal in Islam? Thanks.

(Fatwa: 2118/1948=B/1429)

There is no such thing proved from the Quran and Hadith, what they say is wrong, it is not right as per the Shariah. Even Hadith prohibits these things. Mourning, beating chest and raising tazia is innovation in religion and unlawful:

وإیاہ ثم إیاہ أن تشتغل ببدع الرفضۃ ونحوھم من الندب والنیاحۃ والحزن إذ لیس ذلک من أخلاق المؤمنین وإلا لکان یوم وفاتہ أولی بذلک (صواعق محرقہ 112)

According to Hadith, we have been prohibited to mourn for more than three days. (Mishkat 289)
