Can I claim money from my Group Health Insurance without being sick or hospitalized?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am working in MNC in Delhi NCR. company providing us many facilities. One of is that Group Health Insurance, on monthly basis Rs. 600 approximately deduct from my salary. I have completed one year in this company. Now I heard about something like we can claim from health insurance company without any disease and admit in hospital. Even I can show my dependent to ill. So overall my question is that can I claim in monetary term from Health Insurance company? Is it legal or not as some part of my salary deducting there?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1381/1387/L=12/1438)

According to Shariah, medical insurance is unlawful as it carries interest and gambling. If you have not availed this scheme then you can claim as much amount which is deducted from your salary and goes to insurance company. It should be noted that if you have opted insurance policy then it shall be lawful to get treatment equal to the amount which has been deducted from your account.
