Could SALAM be upon other personalities apart from Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)?

Could SALAM be upon other personality apart from nabi (s.a.w.)?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

It is alright to send blessings (durood and salam) only to the Messenger (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) and other prophets (علیہھم السلام). It may not be sent directly to anyone else except them, but it can be sent indirectly to his holy wives, sahaba, his descendants and followers along with the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).
