The amount of zakat and sadaqat cannot be used in building a masjid, I want to know if it can be used for istinja khana and toilets or not.
Please clarify it according to the four madhahib with references

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful

It is necessary to give zakat and other obligatory sadaqat into the ownership of the eligible recipients. Therefore, it is not allowed to spend such money (zakat & obligatory sadaqat) in building a mosque or toilets etc.
