Q: I have a brother who, several years back, told the family that he is not a Muslim any more and has now become a Christian. My questions are as follows: 1. Is it permissible for him to partake in ghusal for his parents? 2. Is he allowed to contribute to wards the funeral cost etc. 3. Is it permissible for him to carry out the burial rites at the Kabarstan (graveyard)?


A: 1) No, it is not permissible for him to partake in the ghusl of his parents.

2) It is permissible to accept his contribution towards funeral expenses.

3) It is not permissible for him to carry out the burial rites in the qabrastan.
