Q: My aunty, who is 55 years old, wants to go for Hajj. Her Mahram is already in Madinah. Can she leave from Johannesburg to Madinah without her Mahram? One of her Mahrams willm leave her at Johannesburg airport and the other Mahram will meet her at Madinah airport.
A:Your aunty will need a mahram to accompany her from South Africa. A mahram waiting in Madinah will not be sufficient.
