Q: A girl had very bad jinn posession/jadu (magic). She was speaking to birds in another language, couldn’t write exams and could eat abnormally 5 to 6 burgers at a time (amongst other things). She used to make Sehri with the whole family and whenever her mother was with her she would not eat during the day. However her mother found her eating a few times when she was alone. Now that she is better she has absolutely no recollection of the other days, whether she ate or not.
1. Does she have to keep a Kaffaarah for those days her mother found her eating?
2. What about the other days which she cannot remember at all but they suspect she ate?
A: 1. If she had been eating when she was not in her correct frame of mind then she does not have to keep kaffaarah.
