Q: It comes in Tasheel Akhlaaq wal Adaab book 8 under etiquette of making istinjaa that one cannot face the sun or the moon when relieving oneself. Is this authentic and what’s the reason behind it?
A: One should not face sun and moon because of respect for these major signs of Allah Ta’aala. It is also said for respect of the angels who are with sun and moon. (Shaami)
